The saying in Chinese characters

"With digital hegemony, visual messages have reasserted their position as an important communication medium, but at the cost of not recognizing the combination of words and pictures as vital in communication." —Paul Martin Lester.

As an editor, my primary role was to perform a substantive and copy edit for individual webpages with content copied to Microsoft Word documents. These pages had been through technical review and approval. The final work is on the AT&T Mobility Developer website.

AT&T Mobility

Premier Online Portal Demonstration

This was the first draft of a demonstration that, by the time I had finished it, had management expectations grow in hope that it would fulfill three separate functions:

  • Serve as an aid for someone doing a live demonstration of AT&T Premier.
  • Allow a customer to find out about AT&T Premier from the website without being a full sales demonstration or training demonstration. This is what I had started out to accomplish.
  • Serve as a sales demonstration.

After seeing this draft, management was better able to decide how to define the overall project.

It was also decided after seeing this that production of this demonstration needed to be moved to the Atlanta office to be with the web design team. Atlanta was the location of the Flash developers, which were needed because of the limitations to designing the user interface when using Captivate. The goal in making the move was to make sure the final product met AT&T "Web 2.0" design standards.

Note. The demonstrations are too large to fit on a normal computer monitor. This was done because this was a draft and one of the possible uses of the finished product. Because of size, I moved the progress bar to the left edge so the user could see it on a smaller monitor.

Sales Demonstration Storyboard

I created this sales demonstration storyboard for Flash developers in Atlanta.
